Chicken Eggs Hatching!

Mr. Colegate brought in eggs from his chickens and they're currently in the incubator.  They are scheduled to hatch on April 23/24th.

Today, a few classes came in to see him "candling" the eggs which shows the chicks growing inside. The students were very engaged and had a lot of great questions for Mr. Colegate.

We are hoping to set up a camera to catch the hatchlings on livestream!  Stay tuned!

Leprechaun Adventures!!

On Thursday, Mme Suzie's class made Leprechaun traps with the Grade 6 & 7's in preparation for his arrival the next day!  We entered the classroom this morning to find our traps destroyed and gold coins stolen! He even left pieces of his beard behind that were caught in the traps.  As you will see, the kids realized very quickly that the Leprechaun stole their inside shoes! At recess, we discovered them in the garden full of gold chocolate coins!!

Once again, Mme Suzie has created a magical environment full of wonder and excitement!
