We have been having oh such fun lately! We are proud of the many students (45) who represented Red Bluff/Lhtako at the District Track Meet, hosted by Correlieu Secondary. Along with many personal bests and top 3 placements in many events our team came in 2nd overall. Our Junior Girls & Senior Girls Teams won the Aggregate Trophy with our Junior Boys tying for 2nd place in their category. Even on the hottest day in June! Well done everyone - great to see you challenging yourselves & doing your best.
The Home Alone program had its last session this last Tuesday. Thank you to the PAC for organizing this important program for our students after school.
Our school was host to Mary Forbes on Wednesday as well, who spoke to several of our students about the importance of Waste reduction & recycling. Also the Quesnel Museum had a speaker come to speak to both of our Gr. 3 & 4 classes.
Two classes, Mlle Robitaille & Mrs. Barclay were lucky to be able to go Dragon Boating this week. Their time on the water sounded like a lot of fun, although they had to fend off the mosquitos on shore. Unfortunately we will not be able to send as many classes as first hoped to Dragon Boat, due to a shortage of volunteers at this time. Thank you to the Quesnel Canoe Club who volunteered their time to get some of our kids out in those amazing boats. Also thank you to parents of students for helping the Kindergarten & Grade one classes who had a tour of Richbar Nursery.
Also thanks to those parents who viewed Mlle Robitaille's class video #PlasticBagGrab Challenge. We took almost 4500 bags to Walmart to help our landfill & wildlife.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THIS COMING WEEK:
