It was a great June week. Our young French Immersion students did everyone proud with their speeches. We had a wonderful turnout of parents and extended family come to hear their young child's speech. Mme Rummel's class and Mrs. McCart's class set their young salmon free into Baker Creek. Our last monthly assembly saw our Cross Country Runners & Track & Field team receive recognition for their participation at the District level.

Classes will be sharing their Success Fair projects. This is our first year doing this sort of celebration for our year end. We hope the students are able to find an area of strength to celebrate from the past school year. I'm certain as students & teachers see what other students have done, they will get ideas themselves for another time. The Success Fair is intended to take the place of the traditional awards day that has been at Ecole Baker in the past. With the new focus in education on including all students & the commitment we've made to our vision it is a new path we are look forward to exploring. Parents are welcome to come to school while your child's class is presenting, but may also wish to come to the school Thursday evening from 6:30 - 7:30.
Friday, June 23rd
We'll have our first ever Fun Day together as a blended school. We will combine the students into Multi-age groups & do our best to have fun. Parents are welcome to come & watch, or help out. Our games will start at 9:00'ish & we will finish at 12:00. We are trying to man the stations with Alumni (students in Gr. 8 or 9) who may wish to come see their old friends (from Red Bluff/Lhtako & Ecole Baker). If you know of an older student who would like to volunteer please call the office this week. 250-747-2634
