QJS Grade 8 Orientation: What to expect?

How do I get to school?

• school bus (practice the route for next fall) bus garage number 250-992-8361

For those students who wish to take the morning buses to QJS, the Transportation Staff has been working hard to register the 2024/25 Grade 8s for their bus routes next year. We plan to have those routes sent to your schools by mid-June so any students who will need to catch transfer buses to attend QJS on June 25 will have their bus schedule to refer to. Please note we do not route all buses to QJS, so please connect with the Bus Garage for further information.

What time does school start?

• bell rings at 8:24

Where do I go?

• walk through the main doors and sit on the Learning Stairs

What will I do?

• Meet my POD teachers, and other school staff
• Meet the students in my POD
• Have a tour of the school
• Do a few activities with your new group
• Watch a performance
• Go back to my own school for lunch and the afternoon

What do I need to bring?

• Back pack if I want to
