Vice Principal - Voyageur

Vice Principal of Voyageur Appointment

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce that Ms. Shauna Lothrop has been appointed to the position of vice-principal of Voyageur Elementary effective December 31, 2025.

Ms. Lothrop has been employed at the Quesnel School District since 2002 and has worked as a kindergarten teacher, learning assistance teacher, resource teacher, early literacy teacher and most recently, as the District Vice-Principal of Early Learning and Childcare.

Director of Instruction

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce the following appointments effective January 1, 2026. 

Director of Instruction - Curriculum

Ms. Jan Bauer has been appointed tot he position of Director of Instruction - Curriculum. 

Ms. Bauer is the the Principal of Voyageur Elementary and prior to her time there served as Principal at Dragon lake Elementary and Parkland Elementary.

Ms. Bauer holds a Master's of Administration and Leadership Degree.

Ms. Bauer will be replacing Ms. Suzanne Bolin, who is retiring from the district.

Enchanted village

Ms. Kishkan's Enchanted Village

While at the Winter Concert, be sure to check out the Enchanted Village outside Ms. Kishkan's classroom. These magical houses were made with materials found by the children while walking in the forest as part of their outdoor program. A special thank you to the CRD Quesnel Library for donating some extra fir tips from their wreath making.

Halloween Parade

ÉRBL celebrated Halloween in style this year!  Many students and staff were completely immersed in the spirit this year.  Each class participated in a Halloween costume parade so we could enjoy everyone’s hard work and dedication to their costumes!  We all had an amazing time and we hope everyone enjoyed Halloween with their families!

Gavin Lake

Divisions 2 and 8 would like to thank The Quesnel Community Foundation, West Fraser Mills and Gavin Lake Forestry camp for our camping trip September 24-26, 2025!

This Gavin Lake Camp trip is graciously provided to our students by yearly grants and community donations making it entirely free for our students. Students were able to participate in six educational modules, including canoeing, archery, endangered species, perfect streams, mapping, and a forest walk hosted by a volunteer forester!

Manager of Transportation Appointment 

 

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce that Mr. Darren Mann has been awarded the position of Manager of Transportation effective August 18, 2025.

Mr. Mann holds a certificate in Operations Management from BCIT and brings with him 25 years of experience in Operations and Transportation from School District No. 38 (Richmond).
