St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans

Before Spring Break, Mme Suzie created another magical setting for St. Patrick's Day!  The kids in her class built Leprechaun traps to catch the sneaky guy in the act!  In the morning, their traps were destroyed and they even found his beard hair stuck in them!

Also, they couldn't find their inside shoes and discovered the Leprechaun had hung them from the ceiling in the office!

And to top it all off, he peed in the sink and left a trail of poop on the floor!

It was another successful St. Patrick's Day!

Salmonid Program, Mrs. McCart

Throughout the school year, our library is blessed to host a salmonid program...from eyed-eggs to fry.  Part of this program is learning about the anatomy of a salmon, hence, our week of dissections!

Students learned all about the internal and external anatomy of the salmon, both through a guided dissection, and through hands-on examination of various parts, such as eggs, scales, heart, gills, eyes (including the lenses!), etc.

Mme Suzie's Act of Kindness

Mme Suzie's Kindness Act on Pink shirt day left some students wondering what she was up to this year.  The French Immersion Kindergarten once again grew treats using the wonderful world of make believe.  Students planted seeds and left them in complete darkness for 24 hours.  They were able to harvest enough donuts for the whole school!
