Memorial Walk & Assembly
May 27 2025, All day
The "Every Child Matters" movement emerged in response to the discovery of 215 Indigenous children's remains at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in 2021. This number, which triggered widespread outrage and sorrow, represented the heartbreaking reality of the systemic injustices faced by Indigenous children in Canada's residential school system. The movement is a call to acknowledge the truth of this history and to work towards reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
École Red Bluff Lhatko will have an assembly in the morning where there will drumming and afterward there will be memorial walk.
We encourage everyone to wear orange on this memorable day.
