Clayton Gauthier
May 24, 2024
From May 21 to 23, 2024, students at ÉRBL collaborated with local artist Clayton Gauthier to create a distinctive piece of art for the school's main foyer. During this enriching project, students immersed themselves in the traditional stories of local animals and learned to depict these animals using authentic techniques. They began by sketching their designs on paper before transferring them onto wood rounds.
This artistic endeavour is a testament to our school's dedication to fostering a sense of belonging among our students, their families, our staff, and the broader community. The centrepiece, painted by Mr. Gauthier, features an eagle symbolizing strength, with its feathers forming a dream catcher. Each student's wood round helps to form the Circle of Security. Collectively, these images embody the values of strength, unity, and belonging which are fundamental elements of our vision of a community of learners at ÉRBL.
