French Immersion Week

French Immersion week was an incredible experience for our students! French Immersion students from Kindergarten to Grade 11 enjoyed watching Zootopia 2 in French at the Carib Theatre on April 23 and dancing and singing to French country music with Éloïz on April 27. Éloïz is a famous French country singer who has been on a tour of French Immersion schools across our province.
These are the countries that French Immersion classes shared facts and foods with English divisions: Belgium (K), Switzerland (K/1), St-Pierre-et-Miquelon (Gr 2), France (Gr 2/3), Djibouti (Gr 4/5), Cameroon (Gr 6/7). Students learned about how French is spoken in different parts of the world during our assemblies, class sharing time and in the scavenger hunt! Many of the French Immersion classes also participated in the French speech presentations (Patati Patata). Thanks to the hard work of our French Immersion teachers, Mme. McCart for the French book fair and to CPF for grant funding!
